Felinfach Community Council invites you to attend, a Superfast Cymru Broadband roll-out presentation and surgery.
This event is aimed at prospective Superfast Broadband customers, and those unable to receive high speed broadband, due to geographical and technical challenges.
We are aiming to update people who live in the Felinfach Community Council ward, that are served via Llyswen, Brecon, Erwood, Talgarth, Llangorse BT Telephone Exchanges.
Adjacent Community Council representatives, and residents that are not able to receive high speed broadband, are very welcome.

Bt broadband is down at the moment. The problem is at their end not yours.

Be very careful when recieving calls regarding your computer. Never let anyone take control of your computer remotely unless you are 100% sure that they are who they are claiming to be. Never give out your passwords unless you are 100% sure. You can always take a number form the caller and offer to call them back then put the number into a Google search and check that it belongs to the company that the caller is claiming to be from.

Some Broadband users in Builth Wells will be experiencing problems with their service due to issues with the local exchange. BT are aware, have confirmed this issue and are awaiting an engineer visit to the exchange. They will be giving an update report at 2pm this afternoon.

Powys residents are warned to be very cautious when dealing with cold calling companies calling themselves fraud awareness or The National Crime Unit. The caller often claims that they are be a Microsoft approved Company and that they are ringing due to problems with a laptop or other computer equipment being corrupted or similar.

These scare tactics are used to obtain access to computer devices whereby a request for money is then made to unlock systems and stop viruses.

Powys Trading Standards advises people not to provide remote access to any computer equipment, or to give financial or personal information to the caller. ... See more
